Camille Leblanc-Bazinet is a seven-year individual CrossFit Games veteran and one of CrossFit’s most enduring athletes. In 2014, she earned the title of Fittest Woman on Earth and has finished in the top 10 in four out of her seven Games appearances. Most recently, she placed 2nd in the Team Division at the 2019 CrossFit Games with team CrossFit Kypton. The Topic Is: Féroce Fitness – Shoulder Prehab & Rehab with Camille Leblanc-Bazinet
Camille will introduce this limited workshop with practical insights on her recovery following a shoulder dislocation back in 2017 that forced her to retire from her 6th CrossFit Games appearance. She will also speak to the evolution of her mindset as an injured athlete. Camille will then take you through a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to minimize the risk of injury and help those with shoulder pain/impingements or massive injury, recover safely so that they can still feel accomplished with their efforts in the gym. Participants will perform strengthening exercises & mobilization drills so please wear appropriate clothing.
The Topic Is: Muscle Growth & Training Strategies with Thundrbro’s Dave Lipson & Andrew Charlesworth
The Thundrbro company is based on bridging the gap between aesthetics and performance. Dave Lipson and Andrew Charlesworth from the Thundrbro team will be doing a condensed version of their Hypertrophy for Functional Fitness Lecture and then will do brief demonstrations from one of their Hypertrophy Finishers from their E-Book. These seminars will be full of learning, training, nutrition, and bro-ing out! Own Your Eating is back again to give you insight into all of the hot nutrition topics. Do you want to know how to get started with macros? Own Your Eating will help you set yourself up for success! Roz and Jason will also discuss eating out and alcohol and avoiding common pitfalls. They will be leading a Q&A after the seminars!

The Topic is: Squat Mobility Assessment and Movement Prep with Chad Vaughn
Chad will first lecture on the importance of connecting the squat to the snatch and clean reception (i.e., perform your front and overhead squats the way you want to receive the bar in the clean and snatch). He’ll then direct you through a full range of motion squat progression that will show you exactly what you’re currently capable of, and then a mobility assessment to pinpoint any deficiencies observed in the movement or bottom position of your squat.
Chad is a renowned Olympic Weightlifter. He is a 2-time Olympian, 8-time National Champion, and the American Record Holder in the Clean and Jerk in that sport.
The Topic Is: Mobility for Handstand Training with Dave Durante
In this session, Dave will dive into limiting factors that play into an inefficient HS position. This seminar will help participants understand what ideal handstand positions should look like and provide simple tools to combat particular HS mobility limitations from the ground up. Areas of discussion include: handstand triumvirate discussion, evolution of handstand demo, and set up mechanics. Areas of focus will include wrists, elbows, shoulders/upper back, hips, legs, and feet. The session will wrap up with a Q&A.
Dave Durante is a multiple time USA gymnastics national champion and was part of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Team as alternate. Dave was a lead coach with the CrossFit Gymnastics L1 course from 2013-2015. He also wrote and developed the CrossFit Gymnastics Advanced Course. Dave is co-owner of Power Monkey Fitness and Power Monkey Camp.

The Topic Is: NUTRITION: FUEL YOUR BODY TO RECOVER FROM WORKOUTS
Properly refuel, repair, and rehydrate for optimal recovery from training. The Type of activity, duration, intensity, personal preferences, and body composition goals are all variables that will affect how an athlete approaches their personalized recovery strategy. Signs and symptoms of suboptimal recovery, which can be both obvious or subtle, should not be ignored as adaptions to training can be missed and progress can slow. Listen to understand how to:

Ryan Turner of Food is Fuel NYC has a four-year degree and 1200+ hours of clinical practice at an accredited hospital in sports dietetics. He’s a former collegiate athlete, current marathon runner, and has completed 2000+ hours of nutrition-related work with collegiate and professional athletes – setting him apart from other RD’s as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). Ryan completed his education and training at New York University, clinical experience through Methodist Hospital and later, professionally, through Mount Sinai Medical Center. He spent three years working with NYU athletics as the university’s Sports Dietitian. He continues to work in private practice supporting not only athletes, but clients challenged with obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other chronic diseases. He is a member of the American Dietetic Association (AND), Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition practice group (SCAN), as well as the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietetic Association (CPSDA).

Tone House Director of Sports Medicine and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Dr. Kamraan Husain received his Doctors of Chiropractic from Cleveland University – Kansas City, Kansas in 2013 and has an undergraduate degree in Biology from Kansas State University. He is a second-generation chiropractor, inspired by his mother and cousin. Dr. Kamraan specializes in advanced patient assessment and treatment from the Motion Palpation Institute and is a whiplash and traumatology specialist through the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. Dr. Kamraan is a member of the ACA (American Chiropractic Association) and has recently been published in the Journal of Chiropractic Education for his work with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Come learn how to adapt some of the most popular workouts and then test out your adapted creations! You’ll get a crash course in ATA’s adapting theory and methodology and then put it to use by getting creative and adapting workouts in small groups. The best part is you’ll then test out what you adapted and get a feel for what it’s like to workout as an adaptive athlete. No trainer qualifications or experience with adaptive training is necessary. Use this knowledge and experience to customize workouts for temporarily injured or permanently adaptive athletes in your gym or for yourself!
